Clinical AI Pilot Readiness

What needs to be in place before your clinical AI pilot? Assess your project across six areas and see where to focus next.

Do not enter identifiable patient information. This tool asks about your project, not individual patients. Do not provide clinical data, medical records, images or patient files.

Area 1 of 6

Clinical problem and goals

01 · Critical prerequisiteCan we explain in one sentence the problem we want AI to solve?

Examples include clearing a reporting backlog, spotting patients at risk, prioritizing cases, supporting diagnosis or reducing repetitive work.

02Have we defined who the AI is for, where it will be used and which cases are out of scope?

You do not need to anticipate every exception. You should be clear about the intended patients or users, the setting and the cases you would exclude.

03Do we know what we want to improve and why AI is a suitable way to do it?

Choose an observable outcome, such as time saved, fewer errors, better access, workload, quality, safety, diagnostic performance or user experience. Consider whether a simpler approach could achieve the same result.

To see your results, you will need to provide your name and verify your email address. You will also receive an email copy.

This assessment provides guidance based on your answers. It is not a certification, clinical validation, regulatory authorization or approval to start a pilot. Interpret the score alongside the evidence and context of your project.
